Un artiste venitien dans les cours d'Italie

The 16th-century Venetian painter, Battista Franco, produced magnificent works all over Italy.

Compared to the master Tintoretto by his contemporaries, his art bore witness to major historical events of his age and was shown in celebrated buildings like the Doge's Palace, Venice. His subtle drawings, always much sought after by collectors, are shown to the public for the first time in all their splendour.
