Biography
| Benois was the son of a painter Alexander Benois-Konsky, he was born in 1988 in S.-Petersburg. He graduated from the Institute of Civil Engineers in S.-Petersburg. He took part in exibitions of Russian Aqwarellists. Since 1910 he lives in Paris, where work as an architect. Travelled across Italy and France. Since 1923 his works were exibited at parisian salons and on exibitions of russian art in Brussels, Belgrade, Paris. He was the member and the participant of the art society "Icon". As architect built some churchs and as artist made scetches to the gravestones for I.Bunin, D.Merezhkovsky, Z.Gippius and others, who have been buried in Paris. He died in Paris in 1960. |
