Biography
| Rodchenko studied at the Kazan School of Art and at the Stroganov Institute in Moscow. In 1915, he made his first abstract drawings, influenced by the Suprematism of Kazimir Malevich. The following year, he participated in "The Store" exhibition organized by Vladimir Tatlin. By the 1920s, Alexander was advocating the incorporation of art into everyday life and focused his energies into graphic design. He began delving into minimalist monochrome painting and subsequently abstract expressionism toward the end of his life. |
