| Alexander Semenovitch Vedernikov studied at the Art workshops in Nizhniy Novgorod, and the Higher State Art Institute in Leningrad. He was a member of the 'Circle of Artists' group from 1928 to 1930. Vedernikov began participating in exhibitions in 1928. In 1930, he began painting landscapes of Leningrad in oil and watercolor. He also created sketches of monuments of Russian architecture in Pskov, Pushkin, and Poulkovo. He worked as a designer, while exhibitions of his works were arranged in London and Leningrad. His works are on the State Russian Museum. He taught at the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1936 - 1937), the Leningrad Communal Construction Institute (1937 - 1941), Leningrad Construction Institute (since 1945). |
