Biography
| Associated with the "new Figurative" movement in Spain, Alcain is considered by most to be a pop artist. He uses popular images and negative space in his compositions. He utilizes many different techniques such as collage, lithograph, and ink. From 1953 to 1958 he studied art at la Escuela de Bellas Artes in San Fernando and continued on to study engraving and lithography at la Escuela Nacional de Cinematografia in Madrid in 1961 and 1964. |
