Biography
Aristarkh Vassilievitch Lentoulov lived and worked in Moscow beginning in 1909. He studied at the Art College in Penza under K. Savitskiy (1898 - 1900, 1905), at the Art College in Kiev (1900 - 05), in the studio of D. Kardovskiy (1906 - 07), in private studious in Paris (1911). As a professor, he taught at the State Free Art Workshops - the Higher State Art Technical Institute - the Moscow Institute of Fine Art - the Moscow State Artistic Institute (1917 - 34). Roots of his creative work come from the French Impressionism. He painted folklore subjects.
