A copy of Caravaggio's "Kiss of Judas" was stolen from the Museum of Eastern & Western Art.

The painting above, a version of Taking of Christ of 1602 by the 17th century Italian painter Caravaggio, has been stolen from the Museum of Western and Eastern Art in Odessa, Ukraine. Thieves availed themselves of the museum's superannuated alarm system, removed a window pane, and sliced the canvas from its frame before escaping across the roof.

Two later works by Picasso were taken after closing from the Seedamn Kulturzentrum. See INTERPOL for details. A reward has been offered by the owners.

INTERPOL has alerted its member countries to the theft of several paintings, including two by Pablo Picasso with an estimated value of EUR 3 million, from a cultural centre in Switzerland on Wednesday 6 February.
The paintings ‘Horse head,’ an oil on canvas measuring 73 x 60 cm and’ Glass and Pitcher,’ oil on canvas, measuring 27.2 x 35.2 cm were taken in the theft which happened after the centre had closed.
