Full Description:Group Four, Inc, a nationally recognized, award winning product and packaging design firm seeks an experienced graphic designer to join our multi-disciplinary team to create innovative on-package graphic communications and unique structural designs.
We are seeking a graphic professional with a minimum 5 years experience designing consumer packaging. Qualified individuals will work with research, product design and marketing to communicate brand identity and product benefits. Designers at Group Four participate in research and strategy development, offering an opportunity to work directly with clients and end users to bring new products to market. Candidates must have experience in project management, working with outside vendors, and have superior client communication skills.
Group Four offers a fast paced work environment and the opportunity to work with major brands across a variety of product categories such as hardware, housewares, personal care, food and beverage and health care.
Specific Skills
Successful candidates will possess a solid understanding of packaging design, structure and communications. Please note that a background in advertising and print media does not provide sufficient experience for this challenge, a robust portfolio demonstrating package designs is essential. In addition, we seek individuals with:
• The ability to quickly adapt overarching strategy into cutting edge designs
• Superior organizational and communication skills
• Experience working directly with clients
• The confidence to defend proposed designs
• The ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong skills in Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, etc.
• Quick sketching ability in front of observers
• Knowledge of how to prioritize and complete work within deadlines
• Solid communication skills
• The ability to work overtime and travel when necessary
