Bingfei Zhao was born in Zhaotong City in the northest part of Yunnan Province. This area is almost exclusively agricultural and one of the poorest in China. He attended and graduated from Fine Arts Department of Qujing Teacher's College in printmaking. Among ihs exhibitions are the 8th Yunnan Printmaking Exhibition and Qujing fine arts exhibitions.
