Biography
| Boris Nikanorovitch Popov first studied art with Ja. Bashilov and P. Lepeshinsky (1921-1926). Then in 1930 he graduated from Moscow izotechnikum. In 1930-1933 he worked as theatre decorator in different cities of Siberia and Far East (he created the set designs for "Boris Godunov", "Queen of spades" and others). In 1934 became in Moscow, where took part in numerous exhibitions. He created portraits, landscapes, genre pictures. His pictures are stored in museums of Moscow, Krasnojarsk, Irkutsk, and Donetsk. |
