Biography
| Chantal Akerman entered the Belgian film school, the Institute Superieur des Arts du Spectacle et Technique de Diffusion, at the age of 18. Her films project what she calls, "images between the images" standing on the intersections of feminism, society at large, and her own experiences. She is most well known for Jeanne Dielman (1975), in which she depicts the erotic yet emotionless day-to-day existence of a single mother. |
