| Charles Clive was a portrait painter. A signed full length of the 1st Lord Clive,done in 1764 is at the Shrewsbury Museum, and a three quarter length of the 2nd Lord is at the Clive Powis Castle, reveal a competent and professional portrait painter, with a style influenced by Ramsay. |
