Biography
| Charles catton Jr. was a painter of landscapes and animals and illustrator. The artist was Born in London December 30th 1756,He died in upper New York State April 24th 1819.He was the Son and pupil of Charles Catton Sr. The artist entered RA Schools in 1775. Exhibited in 1776-1800, but emigrated to US in 1802, where he did not paint professionally. He painted landscapes rather in the style of Morland and many topographical watercolours Mallalieu, as well as portraits of dogs. In 1789 he published a set of aquaitance of animals. |
