Chikuha Odake was born in 1878.The artist studied Nanga painting at a very early age of Four.Later in Tokyo, Chikuha Odake learned Maruyama-Shijo painting with Kajita Hanko,and Kobori Tomoto.The Official Juried Bunten Exhibitions excepted the artists works.Several prizes were won by the artist in the exhibition.Chikuha Odake designed kuchi-e for "Bungei Kurabu" a literary magazine.Chikuha Odake died in 1936.
