Christophe was the leading specialist of his time in the old-fashioned technique of wooducut. He was active in Antwerp specializing in book illustration and decoraction. He is best-known for his Rubens' reproductive prints, many of them in chiaroscuro with the use of color. He made these in the early 1630s in direct collaboration with Rubens.
