Biography
| Born in 1955, Christopher Wool the Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York, New York Studio School and New York University as well. Though he began his career making Pollock style drip paintings, he is best known for his large, printed words on canvas, which he gets from movies, books and advertisements. The words are strategically placed so that the word run together and take on new meaning as an abstract for. Wool uses simple materials such as generic letter stencils and a rubber roller. |
