Biography
| Nephew of Charles Burney, the musicologist, and cousin of Fanny Burney. Known as being too shy to paint portraits other than of family and friends, but he executed very accomplished copies after portraits by Reynolds and Lawrence. After 1803 he worked mainly as an illustrator. |
