Lansere Eugeniy Eugenievitch was a graphic artist, painter, easel and book graphic artist, and theatre designer. He was sculptor E.A. Lansere's son. He studied at the drawing school of the Society of Encouragement of Artists in St. Petersburg (1892 - 95), at the Paris Academies (1895 - 98). Since 1913, an Academician of painter. Since 1916 - a Full Member of the Academy of Arts. Lived in St. Petersburg, Caucasus (Tiflis), since 1934 - in Moscow. Member of the World of Arts group. He travelled very much. People's Artist of the USSR since 1945. A. Benois and K. Somov influenced his creative work. There were many historical subjects depicted in his drawings. He worked a lot as a book designer, theatre designer; created monumental pannos in Moscow and Tiflis.
