You can view the first initial set for this concentration in the "Display Your Painting" forum. Please let me know what you think of this one so far. Sorry for the image quality, the picture was taken on my phone.

Peep out more on the display your painting discussion. That one is the first and finished piece of my concentration. I seem to have many works going at one time...I guess I am scattered when it comes to focusing on only one art project.

Your usage of dark color and design is very pleasing to the eye. The variegated colors blended into one another is perfect. The delicacy of your design looks airbrushed, well done! This piece makes me think about the physical application in a dreamy context. Was the idea inspired by Celtic designs?

Thank you very much Lee! I used watercolor in this painting. I purchased a special palette just for this piece! I wish that the quality could be better, but I took it on my phone before I had a digital camera. I suppose I should take a photo of the finished project and upload it!

Yes, however it is packed up as I am about to move in three weeks! I will be sure to upload a picture at a later date though. I am trying to think about what design and concept I want to do for the next piece. I want to add texture and layers. Was thinking about doing a piece commissioned by a friend of mine that is deep red, black, silver, and tan (her color themes in her room). I want to bring a romantic and sexy feel to the piece and want to find materials like lace, doilies, mesh fabric, etc., and incorporate some thick layers of acrylic paint.

Rebecca- I really like your choice in colors, the dark backdrop really makes the colors pop! Very nice!

I really like this- I'd like to see more of the same repeating shape(s), it could make a beautiful textile. Try experimenting with different colors of the same pattern to give it a whole new feel!
