Is making art about your faith too risky an endeavor? Will too many people turn up their nose? Back in the day, it used to be the most popular subject.

OMGosh By no means ....one would from experience tell the difference of art, and then art driven by faith. I think its very meaningful, make some think , some will and may always oppose such drive. But I say Hands down its what gets me motivated. ;) some must learn, and some are just gifted....i wasnt just BOOM i got it, show credit where credits due. An old friend named James ;) once shared with me that all good things come from above. ..hmmm...whattaya think?

All the old masters were commissioned to create religious art. What would be any different about the work created today? Many people designate their life and faith to a higher power (whatever that belief may be) and devote their energies to it at all costs. Think about the people who make stained glass work for cathedrals and churches. Is that art about faith?
