Deck of Cards

I just ran across my cousin in laws new work. She is designing a deck of cards. Then for a show she will have 3000 of them sewn together to create a 3d effect. First picture is the back and the other is the face of the card. Let me know what you think. I think its an amazingly creative idea.

Your cousin did a great job! I have always been amazed by the intricate design on the back of playing cards and the almost dizzying array of back card decoration. The King, Queen and Jacks are the most intricate members of the deck. The half mirror images have always reminded me of Alice in Wonderland. My guess is the cards have a long and revered history. Possibly coming from some Roman gambling game or perhaps Taro.
