    Lightbulb Documentaries

    I am really excited on my NetFlix Queve I have two movies that I couldn't pass up. "The Cool School" and "How to Draw a Bunny." Has anyone seen these? Do you know of any other art inspired Documentaries, worth mentioning?

    There is a documentary with all sorts of cool footage during Jean Michel Basquiat's lifetime that you might be interested in. =)

    My Name is Alan and I Paint Pictures is a great documentary about a man with schizophrenia who uses art to cope with his disorder.

    In the Realms of the Unreal is also an incredible documentary about an outsider recluse janitor artist.

    Lana there are lots of documentaries and movies about Painting and painters.

    Manet - The Man Who Invented Modern Art
    Picasso - BBC Modern Masters Picasso (in 5 or 6 parts)
    - Palettes Pablo Picasso Les couleurs de la Passion
    - The Mystery of Picasso (H.G. Clouzot, 1956)
    - Surviving Picasso 1996 (movie) - about the women in his live
    (not that interesting i think)
    Michelangelo - The Michelangelo Code Secrets of the Sistine Chapel
    Banksy - Exit Through the Gift Shop 2010
    Goya - Goya's Ghost
    Van gogh - Lust for live (movie with Kirk Douglas)
    Marcel Duchamp - In his own words
    Basquiat - Basquiat (1996 - Julian Schnabel)
    And so on
    Actually you can find any documentary of painters find on Youtube
    This one you've got to see: just look for 'moving graffiti on Youtube.
    I think that guy spent days painting and painting on this animated graffiti.

    A great documentary on Netflix that I enjoyed watching was Exit Through the Gift Shop. It is filmed by a graffiti artist that tells a story abut a French Immigrant in Los Angeles that has an obsession with street art. Very interesting movie and hope you check it out!

    Exit Through the Gift Shop is really good and it's about two famous street artists: Mr. Brainwash and Banksy.
