MASTER DEGREE FOR HIGHER ARTISTIC EDUCATION
IN ART CREATION AND PRESERVATION
Admissions to the annual Courses (Masters) in Visual Art and Contemporary Art Restoring of the Visual Arts Foundation Centre in Pietrasanta will be open until November 30th 2011
In collaboration with the Commune of Pietrasanta, the Fine Arts Academy in Carrara and Artigianart, promoted and recognized by the Italian Ministry for Education, University and Research with AFAM (Higher Education in Art and Music)

The two Master in in Visual Arts and Preservation and Restoration of Contemporary Art - first italian public experience for post-university education in visual arts - have an innovative nature, inspired by the main international experiences in the field. Courses are for students in possession of a second-level-diploma (3+2 years) awarded in Italy by an Art Academy or any equivalent title awarded in Italy or abroad held to be suitable.
The master aim to create professionals able to act individually or inside establishments and companies of the art field, in possession of specific theoretical, technical, economic and communicative knowledge; a professional figure of conservator and restorer of contemporary art works, capable of working with multi-material manufacture (including photography and multimedia installations) that define artistic production from the historical avant-garde since the beginning of the 20th century to nowadays.
In the Master in Visual Arts, the student in possession of academic knowledge is leaded in class and in laboratory to learn theoretical principles as well as planning and production of artworks made of various material (plastic, installations...) in collaboration with artists and professionals.
Didactic activity is integrated by an intense calendar of seminars and workshops.
