Biography
| Amateur painter and architect; kinsman of the family of Calvert, Lords Baltimore, for whom he acted as an artistic factotum in England. He signed, probably in the mid-1720s, a small-scale seated full length in an architecturally fanciful interior, in the manner of Troost, of 'Hon. Benedict Calvert' (Baltimore Museum). |
