Funasaka was born in 1939. He graduated from Tana Art College, founded in 1935 in Kaminage, Tokyo. Funasaka is internationally known and has exhibited his works in many international print shows. His work is in silk screen and woodblock. After integrating the lemon in his prints in the early parts of his career he later abandoned this habit.
