Hayashi Waichi was born in 1951 in Shizouka, located in the Chuba region of the island. He works brilliantly with composition and light, he is called the master of color. He graduated from the Department of Japanese Art at Kanazawa Art and Crafts College. He works not only with prints but also with ceramics and pottery. He also works with black and white sumi-ink.
