Biography
| Isaak Izrailevitch Brodskiy studied in Art school in Odessa (1895-1902), where his teachers were L.Iorini, K.Kostandi, G.Ladyzhensky. In 1902-1908 studied in Academy of Art in S.-Petersburg, teachers - J.Tsionglinskiy, I.Repin. From Academy went to Europe, where lived and worked in 1909-1911. When came back, lived in Odessa and S.-Peterburg. He was one of the favourite artist of the Soviet Government. The author of pictures on historico-revolutionary themes, portraits and landscapes. Member of the Union of russian artists, Association of artists of revolutionary Russia, Societies of A.Kuindgy. He also writed articles and researches about art. He collected a great collection of pieces of Russian and West-European art. |
