Biography
| A founding member of the Barbizon School and a leading artist in the Franch Realism movement, Jean-Francois Millet is considered one of the most prolific painters in art. Drawing on the influences of Honore Daumier, he painted in a manner that was both realistic, and sometimes even daunting. Though his work was not well accepted among the critics of the time, we can look back today and apprecate the raw beauty and honesty that his paintings exhude. His work portrayed life in a way that had never been seen before and for that, his contributions will be forever remembered. |
