Biography
Pacherot was an Italian ornamental sculptor active in France where he was important in the spread of Renaissance decoration. Perhaps identical with Girolamo Pacchiarotti of Genoa, he was recruited with other Italian artists by Charles VIII during his incursion in to Italy in 1495. His best-known work is the frame for Michel Colombe's relief of Saint George and the Dragon in the chapel at Gaillon (1508-9).
