Biography
| John Baker is best known as a flower painter. He died in London on April 30, 1771. Baker trained as a coach painter and became so proficient in painting the wreaths of flowers surrounding the coats of arms, that he graduated to flower pieces. He exhibited at the salon from 1762-68. |
