Biography
| Portrait painter and miniaturist. Natural son of 2nd Earl of Warwick. Born May 1st 1764 . The artist died insane at Edinburgh c. 1804/5. Entered RA Schools 1784, and exhibited 1787-1791. His portraits reveal a blend of the styles of Hoppner and Romney three are at Eton College. In 1800 he published Sir Hubert, an Heroic Ballad and left the same year for Aberdeen, thence to Edinburgh. |
