Benglis is an American sculptor often creating works that contain blatant sensual and erotic ideas. She is known for her wax paintings and poured latex sculptures. She is a feminist and it comes through in her work through such pieces as Fallen Woman. This work was a reaction to the male-dominated minimalist movement.
