| An Italian painter of polyptychs, single-field altarpieces and small devotional works. He was born in Cento near Bologna, was apprenticed in Squarcione in Padua in 1453, moved to Venice in 1455 and to Bologna in 1461-2, and died in Venice. His work resembles Mantenga's hard, linear style. |
