Biography
Maximilian Alexandrovitch Voloshin created landscape paintings of Crimea, Spain, France, and Greece. He followed the tradition of the World of Art group, with an emphasis on decorative stylization. Symbolist. Studied law at the Moscow University (1897). In the same time he was interested in literature and painting. He travelled around Europe very much, lived in Paris (1899-1907, 1913-1916). His works were displayed in Netherlands (1929), Moscow (1927, 1971), Leningrad, Simferopol (1961). Member of the World of Art group and the Fair Color group (1923).
