| Maya Hayuk will make you smile. You cannot help but feel your heart well up with joy when you take in the vibrant, intricate patterns that make up her enormous designs. Her massive paintings are so well integrated into the space that you almost forget the wall is there and your are not in a separate realm that is reminiscent of Alejandro Jodorowsky's "The Holy Mountain." There is also a sense of humor that accompanies the work which continues the free and light excitement her rainbow pallet inspires. Currently based out of New York City, Hayuk continues to produce work both in her painting and photo studio and on the walls of galleries and museums. |
