Biography
| LARIONOV MIKHAIL FEDOROVITCH (1881 - 1964) Was born near the town of Tiraspol (then Ukraine). Studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1898 - 1908) under V.A. Serov, I.I. Levitan. Since 1919, lived in Paris. In 1915 - 1929 - worked for the S.P. Diagilev Enterprise. Participant of exhibitions in 1906 - 1914, where foremost works of art were displayed (in Kiev, Moscow, Riga, Munich, Berlin). Died in France (Fontaine-au-Rose). Russian painter, graphic artist, theatre designer. One of the founders of Russian avant- garde. In his early period he was influenced by Postimpressionism and primitivism. |
