Biography
Nadir Afonso is a geometric abstractionist painter. He studied architecture at the School of Fine Arts in Porto, Portugal. However, later he rejects Architecture as an art saying instead that it is a science. He studied his true passion, painting in Paris at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts. He became one of the pioneers in Kinetic art, working alongside Victor Vasarely, Fernand Leger, Auguste Herbin, and Andre Bloc.
