Biography
| Feofilaktov graduated from the Moscow Institute of Agriculture, in the same time he learned drawing in K. Juon's art studio. During this time Feofilaktov met with N. Sapunov, S. Sudejkin, P. Kuznetsov, and together with these artists he participated in an exhibition, Scarlet Rose in Saratov in 1904, and later in another exhibition, Blue rose. His works were published in the magazines World of Art, Scorpion where he was the leading artist during of the existence of the magazine. At this time, Feofilaktov was under the influence of English schedule O. Berdsley. After the revolution, the artist continued to work actively in book design. He illustrated the book of V. Brjusov in 1933, in addition to the books of Gofman, Shakespeare, and Stern. Feofilactov also created paintings, a lot of which were painted through the artist's impressions of Italy, when he traveled there from 1906 to 1913. |
