No history can be found on Nomura Yoshimitsu's birth date or place. Nomura was a part of the Toledo, Ohio exhibition of 1936. He worked for the publisher Sato Shotaro and was known as a Shin Hanga artist. Shin Hanga movement integrated western elements without giving up the old values of Japanese, traditional woodblock prints.
