Faculty, Technical Theatre
Job Description:
This Faculty member teaches Stagecraft, Stage Management, Lighting and Lighting Design and Theatre Appreciation.
Duties; Responsibilities:
• Teaching responsibilities include Stagecraft 1, Lighting, Stage Management and other technical theatre classes also sections of Theatre Appreciation
• Actively participate in the realization of designs
• Expected to design lights and scenery for at least five department productions
• Participates in curriculum development and revision
• Assesses the curriculum against state and national standards
• Serves on School, Campus and College committees
• Prepares and submits student information to Department Chairperson
• Recruits and advises Theatre majors
• Serves as a resource for faculty members and other program areas
• Participates, in grant writing and acquisition of external funding for the department
• Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
• Master's Degree or Master's in Fine Arts (MFA) in Theatre with specialization in scenic and lighting design; or a Master's Degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Theatre with specialization in scenic and lighting design
• All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
• Familiarity with and use of collaborative learning techniques and student-centered methods of instruction
• Ability to function well in a technological environment and willing to use technological tools in instruction
• Possess excellent communication skills and ablity to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
• Preference will be given to applicants with College level teaching experience
• Demonstrated effective use of active learning techniques
• Previous curriculum development and recruitment experience a plus
• Knowledge of various approaches to scenery design and lighting design to include Computer-aided Design (CAD) experience
• Possess documented significant professional design and lighting experience
• Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments

Director of Facility Business Operations
Responsibilities:
Front of House
- Work with House Manager on budget for department and ways in which to streamline operations.
- Approve weekly usher payroll and compile statistics on ushering costs and associated budgets throughout the year.

Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola
- Responsible for Manager and Assistant Manager’s oversight in Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, which includes but is not limited to: patron satisfaction; statistical data on patronage; end of night financial reporting.
- Coordinate and oversee relationship between FPRH and in-house caterer regarding specific needs of club as well as establishing club policies. Coordinate activities of DCCC with other events in the facility.

Box Office
- Oversee Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer and 3 Ticket sellers. Work with treasurer on staffing requirements and scheduling. Submit box office payroll on weekly basis.
- Work with internal and external clients on ticket order submittal and oversee client ticket needs through end of show. Work with internal departments to get tickets on sale through 3 in-person, phone and online outlets. Coordinate ticketing and show information with Marketing personnel for bi-monthly advertorial vehicles.
- Work with Box Office personnel on establishing as needed reports and compiling statistical data.

Merchandising
- Order and inventory all Jazz logo’ed material.
- Work with in-house catering on establishing all financial records and monitor inventory as needed.
- Work with external partners on non-Jazz material, scheduling and coordinating staff and finances.
Volunteer Program
-Supervise part-time coordinator in scheduling and training staff to work in Frederick P. Rose Hall
General
- Advise and assist in all appropriate union negotiations for covered workforces.
- Direct all personnel in compliance with JALC Human Resources specifications.
- Develop, monitor and maintain budget parameters of departments directed, as well as recommend cost saving alternatives in all responsible departments.
- Direct the creation and maintenance of departmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in and coordinate aspects of rental settlements.
- Participate in preparation of annual budget of all reporting departments and make capital recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years front of house experience in a managerial capacity.
- Demonstrated and proven fiscal management in a performing arts venue.
- Exceptional management and organizational skills.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service.
- Strong management and supervisory skills.
-Must be able to multi-task and to view the fast-paced environment of a performing arts non-profit organization as an incubator for success.
- Excellent written, verbal communication and inter-personal skills.
Passion and/or knowledge of Jazz preferred.
