Biography
Painter of portraits and fancy pictures. Born London 15 September 1757; died 28 September 1810. Son of Arthur Devis (q.v.) and presumably his pupil, but the feeblest artist member of the family. Entered RA Schools 1773. Exh. FS 1775-79; SA 1777; RA 1782 and 1788. Little of his work is known to survive.
