Biography
| Tomma Abts is an abstract painter active in London, England. She uses oil and acrylic on canvas to create lines, shadow, and color of which she says have no meaning other than what they are. Her style comes from layering repetitive geometric elements. She titles all her paintings from a german first name dictionary. She won the 2006 Turner prize, having been selected for her solo exhibitions at Kunsthalle Basel, Switzerland, and greengrassi, London. |
