Biography
| Italian history painter, said to have been a pupil of Pellegrini and to have come to England c. 1713, probably connected with John Devoto (q.v.), the scene painter, whose portrait he painted. Only known for a wall painting of some imaginary Bishops in Lincoln Cathedral, 1728. Returned to Italy early 1730 with Giles Hussey (q.v.) as a pupil. Later recorded at Aquila. |
