Biography
| William Chamberlain was born in London in 1771. The artist died July 1807.He entered RA Schools in 1790. Pupil in 1794.The artist Exhibited RA 1794-1795 and A Newfoundland dog, 1802 from a Chichester address and Cat and dog playing, in 1803. A signed portrait of a boy with a dog, sold in 1937,it was dated 1796 and was in a heavily impasted style. He was in practice at Hull when he died. |
