Biography
| Oil painter of pastoral and genre subjects. Exhibited at the leading London galleries from 1891, mainly at the Royal Academy, Royal Society of British Artists. Lived at Mansfield and later at Harrogate. He produced exceptional work based around the epic tale The Odyssey. His piece, Circe, is one of the most beautiful renditions of the famous sorceress enthroned my her many enchanted animals. |
