Xiaochun Zhang was born in the Yunnan province of Mojiang in 1959. His first graduation was from Simao Art School in 1980. Four years later he graduated from Yunnan Fine Art Academy. His works are displayed in several Chinese art musiums. He has received numerous national Chinese awards in reduction woodblocks.
